New Product Design & Development Project
For this project I teamed up with three engineering students and another marketing student to complete a semester-long project centered around developing, building, and launching a new product that incorporates a bio-mechanical function. The synthesis and analysis of the new product design included the consideration of the bio-mechanical function with mechanical design, aesthetic design, market research, and project management.

My team developed the product 'REFLEX' which was an ankle brace that contained a resistance mechanism to provide a rehabilitative function. We discovered the need for the product while conducting research at a occupational therapy clinic. We competed with 16 other teams in an innovation tournament, presenting our products to representatives from General Motors. Our product qualified for the final round of presentations where we came in second place and won a prize of $750.
